Have you ever felt at a loss for words to describe your feelings? Want to take your personal growth experience to a deeper level?

We live in a world of linear thinking in which left-brain reasoning is valued over right-brain feeling. We are often expected to use logic and analysis to “figure it all out.” But what if there was another way? Art making allows our creative and intuitive mind an opportunity to open and share information with us about who we are, what we want, and what we need. When we are given a safe space to freely create for the sake of enhanced self-awareness, there is no limit to how much we will discover!

No matter where you come from or who you are, I believe Art Therapy can strengthen your connection to yourself and to the world around you. Whether you seek assistance in coping with a traumatic life event, want to explore feelings related to childbirth and parenthood, or want to deepen your already existing mindfulness practice, Art Therapy will help propel you forward in your journey of personal transparency and transformation.

I provide Art Therapy sessions for individuals and groups in a warm, welcoming, and safe environment. Contact me HERE to find out how to include Art Therapy in phone sessions! I am here to help you find deeper meaning in your own inner world and support you as you let your imagination and intuition guide you.

Frequently Asked Questions About Art Therapy:

Do I need to be an artist to participate in Art Therapy?
Absolutely not! You don’t need ANY prior art experience to benefit from Art Therapy. All you need is a willingness to experiment and explore.

Is an Art Therapist a “real” therapist?
YES! Art Therapists are trained professionals. We are required to have a Master Degree from an AATA accredited university and complete hundreds of hours of supervised work with clients before being able to practice on our own.

Do you provide the art materials?
Yes. I have a variety of art materials that I bring to our sessions. If you have special materials you would like to include in our sessions, please let me know.

What kind of art will I be making?
The sky is the limit! I value your creative expression and it is my job to find the right materials to help you best communicate your feelings and ideas. Examples include: drawing, painting, clay sculpture, papier mâché mask making, collage, photography, environmental sculpture, and land art.

Will you be interpreting my art?
While I am trained to do so under very specific circumstance, my approach to Art Therapy is considered “transpersonal.” Therefore, what I value most is the meaning and insight you discover in your own work.
